We are looking for Water Network Performance Lead who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this role
To drive IWNL’s smart meter strategy.
To develop IWNLs Water In/Out strategy, refine the ongoing Network Performance function within the business and lead on the Network Resilience initiatives.
Your key responsibilities are
Develop and implement an IWNL Smart Metering Policy.
Develop long term Smart Network Strategy including Customer Meters and Bulk Loggers.
Work with the wider BUUK business to identify data gaps and assess options for new and innovative ways that IWNL can capture network performance data.
Develop Innovative solutions/techniques that benefit the ongoing operation of the Water.
Develop and implement an automated reporting system for unaccounted water/distribution loss/leakage as part of our Water In/Out Strategy.
To provide a network performance dashboard to allow IWNL to meet its regulatory requirements, such as WRMP and leakage targets.
Assist the Operations team in the investigation of problem areas on our networks relating to Water and to assist with the development of appropriate solutions improving current and future performance.
Working with the Asset Management, Adoption and Compliance teams to provide network information relating to maintenance e.g., Water meters and flushing.
To support Ops team to interpret site schematics and basic hydraulic modelling / design (head loss, pressure, flow etc).
Use the corporate GIS system to record and analyse network performance.
Regulatory returns (2 annual returns for Ofwat + providing data to WQ team for WRMP) to Ofwat and Defra, in collaboration with the Compliance and Regulations team.
Compiling datasets from various stakeholders into a single report. Creation and optimisation of processes to achieve this.
Provide training to new starters and others within the business to better understand how water networks are designed, installed, commissioned and operated.
Develop and optimise IWNL’s on-site work to pinpoint the location of leaks identified on the network.

Qualifications
Educated to Degree level preferred or similar.
Experience/Knowledge
Experience in the water industry.
Experience in developing and maintaining relationships at all levels with external and internal customers.
Ability to deliver high customer service standards.
Ability to read site plans and maps.
Knowledge of current safety procedures, business relationships, processes, and practices.
Abilities/Skills
Attention to detail.
Ability to interpret mathematical formula and statistics.
Computer literate Experienced in utilising Microsoft Office software programs.
Positive and proactive attitude.
Desirable
Chartered Status or working towards a professional qualification with a relevant institution.
Awareness of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications and Codes of Practice relating to Water assets.
Experience in training and coaching others.
Wastewater Network Modelling experience.
Project management skills.
