GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Tendering Engineer who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
We would also welcome applications from candidates looking for a development opportunity who are willing to work towards the City & Guilds level 2 qualification.
Purpose of this role
Responsible for the planning and costing of utility networks.
Your key responsibilities are
Interpret customer requirements to ensure quotations meet customer expectations.
Checking network demand calculations.
Applying to upstream Utility network owners to obtain connection offers and resolve queries.
Costing projects to provide a quotation for new Utility networks to the customer.
Checking of projects.
Designing gas and electric networks to ensure they are fit for purpose.
Working in a timely manner to ensure services are delivered within standards.
Liaise with customers to resolve technical queries.
Liaise with Regional Sales Managers and customers to strategise the delivery for complex developments.
Any other duties as required by the manager.
Qualifications
City & Guilds Level 2 - Electrical Power Networks or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge
Experience of costing Utility networks.
Abilities/Skills
Efficient and accurate data entry.
Effective communication skills.
Sound decision making ability.
Excellent organisational skills.
Ability to prioritise work effectively.
Support and work collaboratively with colleagues.
Desirable
Ability to train others.
Technical knowledge of the principals of gas and electricity network designs.
Advanced analytical skills.
