GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Sustainability & Quality Project Manager who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

As a Sustainability & Quality Project Manager, you will lead the delivery of defined projects from initial concept through to successful completion. This role involves close collaboration with internal teams across BUUK and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest standards.
You will proactively analyse systems, processes, and data sets to identify opportunities for improvement and drive initiatives that enhance efficiency, data management, and reporting. In addition, you will provide support and coordination for the Sustainability Officer, and as necessary supporting the SHEQ team in planning and monitoring major projects.

Your key responsibilities are

Define the scope, objectives and deliverables for defined projects. Develop detailed project plans, including but not limited to key activities, tasks, timelines and resource allocation.

Provide managerial guidance and support to ensure the project team deliverables are satisfied, assigning responsibilities and monitoring progress.

Oversee and support the development of technical solutions to ensure successful delivery of defined project outputs, for example developing or enhancing systems to facilitate improvements in the management and reporting of data.

Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Monitor and control project risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Ensure timely resource allocation to key deliverables to enable the plan remains on target.

Manage clear and effective open communication channels with the project sponsor, stakeholders, team members and senior leadership. Provide regular project status updates and reports.

Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and user requirement specifications.

Work with the project team to ensure traceability, quality checks and testing is completed and evidenced as necessary.

Monitor project budgets and take proactive measures to keep projects within budgetary constraints. Manage changes to scope and budgetary impacts proactively under change control for audit purposes.

Track project phases, timelines and milestones. Take corrective actions to address deviations and ensure on time project completion.

Maintain an appropriate level of project governance for each project utilising such artefacts as business case, PID, plans, reports and documentation of decisions and changes.

Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely decision making, effective buy in for requirements definition, issue resolution / escalation and ensure project alignment with organisational goals.

Along with any other duties as required by the Group Environment & Sustainability Manager.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification in project management.

Experience/Knowledge

Proven experience of successfully delivering improvement projects requiring engagement and influencing across multiple stakeholder groups.

Desirable

Bachelors degree in a relevant subject area.

Experience or demonstrable understanding of key ESG challenges.
