GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Senior Project Manager (NMS) who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this role
Your key responsibilities are
The role will include the direct line management of other project managers, providing di-rection, guidance, monitoring, and reporting on all aspects.
Continuing to support the development of all associated projects (NMS / DCC / LV moni-toring), in terms of collaboratively supporting the development of the associated systems.
Assist all BUUK Departmental Managers in development of greater efficiency within the Company to promote continuous improvement to GTC Electrical procedures.
Actively support the business with all FISCAL related items (suppliers / contracts / budg-ets).
The creation, monitoring & reporting of a detailed NMS implementation plan which is re-viewed fortnightly / monthly basis with the Project Sponsor and the Electricity Steering Group.
The management, effective deployment of the NMS system at each of the key strategic sites along with the creation of the necessary policies, procedures, technical standards & training material for the deployment and operation of the proposed NMS system.
Where the opportunity arises work with the Energy Networks Association, Ofgem, BEIS, other bodies in the development of our future electrical network & liaise with other Network Operators (DNOs / IDNOs).
Any other duties as required by the manager.
Qualifications
The incumbent must be educated to a minimum of HNC standard in Electrical Engineering, ideally qualified to CEng or working towards.
Be a member of IET and ideally have extensive experience in electricity distribution systems up to and including 33kV.
Must have a current IOSH managing safely certificate or working towards.
Experience/Knowledge
Experienced in Project Management techniques.
Abilities/Skills
Experience in project managing a large portfolio of work.
Detailed experience of delivering innovative projects into business as usual.
The writing of policies, procedures & ability to communicate at all levels.
A sound understanding of the relevant safety legislation and procedures in the electricity distribution industry.
Experience of managing subcontractors to facilitate the successful project delivery.
Good understanding of UK Distribution Regulations including the Distribution Code.
