Power On, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Placement Student who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

To support the Design and Tendering Teams with administrative, AutoCAD and GIS drawing assistance to successfully deliver utility projects.

Your key responsibilities are

Support the Design and Tendering Teams in producing drawings, administering project information, creating contract variations, and producing Legal Plans for Multi Utility Construction Projects (Electricity, Fibre, Water & Gas).

Communicate with colleagues in the Design, Tendering and Construction Teams as well as with external Stakeholders where required when As-Built information is passed back to be included within our records.

Communicate with external parties to resolve project queries.

Ensure regulatory compliance by meeting deadlines and in line with the customer programme of works.

Ensure project Health & Safety Planning Compliance.

Develop technical appreciation.

Project administration.

Duties associated with the above.

Qualifications

Working towards a suitable recognised engineering or scientific qualification.

Experience/Knowledge

Project management skills associated with project delivery.

Very good IT skills.

Able to maintain a helpful and informative work environment.

Abilities/Skills

The ability to produce technical documents and process improvement documentation.

The ability to record information accurately and on time.

The ability to work independently in order to deliver agreed objectives.

Desirable

Awareness of the utility industry.

Good communication skills.

Able to provide accurate quality work within department and company.
