GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Head of Compliance who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

This is a part time position of 30 hours per week. 

Purpose of this role

Provides and co-ordinates expertise covering the engineering disciplines required to safely and efficiently own and operate GTCs gas network. Accountable for assuring that all process deliver compliance with legislative, regulatory, and business obligations.

Your key responsibilities are

Accountable for ensuring GTCs processes deliver compliance with legislative, regulatory, and business obligations.

Accountable for ensuring all Gas Networks risks are fully documented and, where appropriate, action plans are developed and delivered to mitigate risks to ALARP.

Ensure all appropriate GSMR Safety Cases accurately reflect engineering standards.

In conjunction with the Senior Leadership Team undertakes incident investigations, making recommendations and implementing learning outcomes.

Providing appropriate management information, reports, and recommendations

Lead for GTC via professional interaction with the Health & Safety Executive, Local Authorities, Highway’s authorities, Suppliers, Contractors, industry forums and other utility asset owners.

Participation in an out-of-hours standby rota (Silver command).

Any other duties requested by manager.

Qualifications

Degree level qualification.

Experience/Knowledge

Detailed knowledge of current legislation relating to Health & Safety relating to Gas Transportation.

Significant experience and/or qualifications as well as having a working knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice, Risk Management and Recommendations.

Significant experience working with Regulatory bodies and providing compliance advice e.g., Knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Experience of working with Board and Senior Executives.

Abilities/Skills

The ability influence others to deliver compliance and process excellence.

Desirable

Developing & implementing programmes that support organisational development.

Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes or equivalent.

Conditions of Employment

You are required to have your criminal records checked through the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS). This is due to going into customers’ homes.
You will hold a driving licence
You will be required to participate in a standby rota
