We are looking for Financial Analyst - Revenue who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

This is a fixed term contract up to 15 months.

Purpose of this role

To act as the financial lead for revenue and direct cost accounting, analysis, reporting and budgeting within the assigned utility business stream(s).

Your key responsibilities are

Performing accounting close processes including maintaining accrual files, managing intercompany cross-billing transactions, posting of journals, raising of ad-hoc invoices as required.

Ownership, investigation and resolution of revenue & direct cost data queries.

Review of revenue & margins against expectation (budget, prior month) for the assigned business stream(s).

Validation of direct cost invoices (boundary charges) as applicable to the business stream.

Completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations, investigation & resolution of variances.

Supporting the annual budget process.

Supporting internal & external reporting requirements - management reporting, board reporting, regulatory reporting.

Ensuring compliance with relevant SOX controls in all areas of work.

Supporting company audit requirements, liaising with auditors.

Any other duties as required by the manager.

Qualifications

Part qualified accountant - studying for a finance qualification: ACCA,
CIMA or equivalent level.

Experience/Knowledge

Experience within a finance role to include basic accounting concepts,
and financial controls.

Some experience of complex, high volume financial data analysis.

Abilities/Skills

Intermediate Excel Skills.

High attention to detail & accuracy.

Able to present analysis in a clear, audience targeted format.

Desirable

Some knowledge of Gas & Electricity industry regulation and related tariffs.

Advanced Excel Skills.
