We are looking for Facilities Manager who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
This role involves regular travel to other office locations.
Purpose of this role
To lead and manage facilities operations across the organisation, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient environments that support business activities. The role focuses on service quality, contractor management, and continuous improvement of facilities provision across a multi site portfolio
Your key responsibilities are
Lead and manage the delivery of facilities services across sites, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality working environments
Ensure full compliance with all relevant health & safety legislation, statutory obligations, and organisational policies
Develop, implement, and monitor planned and reactive maintenance programmes to ensure assets are maintained
Manage and monitor the performance of external contractors and service providers, ensuring delivery against agreed SLAs
Oversee facilities projects, including refurbishments, office moves, and improvements, ensuring delivery on time and with minimal disruption
Primary point of contact for facilities-related issues, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders
Support and advise colleagues for emergency procedures, business continuity plans, and incident response protocols. Take a proactive role in the event of any incidents at group
Monitor service performance, analyse data, and implement improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of facilities services
Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure facilities services align with organisational priorities
Support the Sustainability/Environmental team in delivering Group-wide plans to achieve Net Zero, driving improvements in energy efficiency, waste management, and sustainable operational practices.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of commercial leases, including key provisions such as lease terms, repairing obligations, service charges, licences for alterations, and dilapidations.
Qualifications
A degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline, or demonstrable equivalent professional experience
Experience/Knowledge
Proven experience in a facilities management or building maintenance role, ideally within a multi-site or complex environment
Strong understanding of building services, maintenance practices, and facilities operations
Sound knowledge of health & safety legislation, statutory compliance, and risk management within a facilities setting
Experience managing contractors and external service providers, with responsibility for monitoring performance against SLAs and KPIs
Experience of coordinating planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure service continuity
Demonstrable experience of managing facilities-related projects, such as refurbishments, relocations, or service improvements
Abilities/Skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
Highly organised with strong planning and prioritisation skills, able to manage multiple tasks and competing demands
Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions and respond quickly to operational issues
Proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement
Resilient and adaptable, with the ability to remain effective under pressure and in changing environments
Desirable
Membership of, or working towards, a recognised professional body (e.g. RICS, IWFM (4+) CIOB, CIBSE
Health and safety qualification (e.g. NEBOSH or IOSH) desirable
AutoCAD experience
Experience implementing service improvements or leading change initiatives within a facilities environment
Knowledge of sustainability practices, including energy management and environmental initiatives
Awareness of current facilities management trends, legislation, and best practice
