We are looking for Water Regulations Officer who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
This role is based at our Cardiff office and will include field based visits.
Purpose of this role
To assist the Water Regulations and Field Manager in ensuring that potable water supply systems comply with relevant legislation and guidance.
Your key responsibilities are
To maintain appropriate records and systems, document control, processes and procedures, and data management.
Own, develop and manage databases and PowerBI reporting tools for water fittings.
Monitor and track water fittings data to ensure that customers plumbing complies with the regulations.
With support from the Water Regulations and Field Manager, enforce non-conformances to ensure compliance with the Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations.
Provide a technical response to data requests from other departments.
Provide technical support to other teams about water quality breaches and investigations.
Carry out inspections on non-household and multi-occupancy buildings.
Assist in delivering an audit and training programme to people undertaking fittings inspections.
Assist with the programme to utilise water efficiency labelling to improve customer water usage.
Implement and monitor the water fittings enforcement policy.
Monitor and manage Water Regulations shared mailbox so that queries are responded to in a timely manner.
Liaise with external stakeholders to keep up to date with regulatory changes.
Support event teams when required.
Be a company champion for public health and the environment.
Any other duties as required by the Water Regulations and Field Manager.
Deputise for the Water Regulations and Field Manager as required.
Qualifications
Level 3 Certificate in Water Fittings Regulations Enforcement.
Knowledge of SharePoint database management and Power BI reporting.
Experience/Knowledge
An understanding of Water Supply (Water Fittings) Regulations 1999.
Abilities/Skills
Able to maintain a helpful and customer focussed work environment.
Exceptional record keeping skills are essential to ensure audit trails are maintained and contraventions are tracked.
Desirable
Technically competent on the full Microsoft suite of software.
Working towards or registered with an appropriate professional institution.
A high standard of written and verbal communication.
