We are looking for Senior Project Manager (18 months fixed term) who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

To project manage the safe delivery of offsite Fibre Optic projects, with the aim of delivering a high standard/specification fibre optic network in a timely manner within budget. 
Responsible for the timely installation of EAD orders and where required Onsite/Offsite OSCPs for ALL new sites.
Responsible for the timely installation of additional bearers into existing sites where additional capacity or resilience is required.

 

This is a 18 month fixed term position.

Your key responsibilities are

Ordering of EAD products via our Service Providers (Sky,Vodafone, NEOS).

Ordering of the External Variant cable link order via Sky, and to complete the coordination and management to completion of the cable link product up to and including the Sky handover.

Provide procurement of equipment and services to facilitate the installation of the backhaul solution.

Manage and drive the timely delivery of 3rd party backhaul services required to connect new sites via our defined backhaul delivery models.

Ensure that all Fibre assets records associated with any new infrastructure are properly recorded and the delivery database is up to date with current information.

Complete Audits/Site Visits to ensure contractors are working to the BUUK core values and standards.

To be the focal point of contact for the Site Establishment Project Managers/Project Coordinators for all delivery issues.

To be the focal point of escalations.

To produce weekly reports for the UIPs.

Any other duties as required by the manager.

Qualifications

SHEA Card or CSCS Card.

Experience/Knowledge

Experience working on new development sites.

Knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Knowledge of Fibre Optic Networks.

Abilities/Skills

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage a team effectively.

Desirable

NRSWA Certificate.</li><li> Working knowledge in Chapter 8.

Working knowledge on the Openreach portal (Duct and Pole Access Maps).

Experience in attending meetings with sub contractors.

Experience in using spreadsheets and producing detailed reports.

Be team driven ensuring the team are working well, an ability to communicate to contractors when out on site and listening to the contractors.
