We are looking for Heat Metering Officer who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this role
To coordinate the day-to-day metering operations activities for our heat networks, ensuring that everything runs as efficiently as possible for all our customers.
Your key responsibilities are
Administer the Metropolitan metering systems day-to-day across all developments. Ensuring a service that meets SLAs.
Overseeing metering activities with the Heat Metering Technical Engineer to assist with their attendance to queries from Metropolitan retail customers, building managers, and metering queries that may need attending to before it is raised to the metering provider.
Assisting the Retail team’s Contact Centre to help support day-to-day metering queries – providing day-to-day assistance to Customer Services Advisors and Contact Centre Team Managers.
Administer the planned and reactive maintenance metering work to ensure it is correctly recorded for reporting and auditing purposes.
Assisting with Metropolitan ICT developments that will enhance internal processes, including contributing ideas and testing areas that may be applicable.
Proactively monitoring all schemes metering connectivity rates and working with Heat Metering Technical Engineer and contractors to resolve issues in a timely manner.
Working with the Contact Centre to arrange appointments for metering maintenance in residential properties.
Support the Heat Operations Officers with any incidents, particularly during periods of high demand or overflow.
Scheduling weekly residential visits for the Heat Metering Technical Engineer.
Joining First Line Support on the Out of Hours Emergency Standby Team.
Any other duties as required by the manager.
Qualifications
5 GCSEs grade C or above including English Language and Mathematics (or equivalent standard of education).
Experience/Knowledge
Abilities/Skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Computer literate.
Attention to detail.
Positive and proactive attitude.
Displays initiative and a curiosity for improvement.
Desirable
Have experience of working in the heat networks sector.
Have experience of working with third party contractors.
Experience of using a customer relationship management software package.
