GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Regional Electricity Manager who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this role
Responsible for the day-to-day activities within your region. Manage and liaise with team to ensure efficient delivery of annual objectives and personal development. Manage ENC planned & reactive works as required to maintain efficient running of GTC networks.
Your key responsibilities are
To have overall management responsibility for the given region and your associated team.
Manage and motivate area team to achieve ENC objectives, while maintaining excellent health & safety standards.
To manage and deal with any operational issues as requested by GTC control engineers.
Manage the delivery of remedial work on GTC networks.
Agree, plan, and deliver training program for staff in line with business growth plan.
To manage, purchase (where required) and maintain equipment including calibration and update registers.
Review and report against asset inspection targets monthly.
Ensure electricity networks built directly are fit for purpose and within company procedures, guidelines, and standards.
To provide support for any designated emergencies for the given region.
Technical support to contestable and asset design as required.
Any other duties as required by the manager.
Qualifications
HNC / Degree / Equivalent qualifications.
Thorough Distribution Network Knowledge.
Experience/Knowledge
Knowledge of Distribution Safety Rules.
Management skills.
Abilities/Skills
Problem Solving.
High standard of communication.
Leadership skills.
Desirable
Understanding of IDNO and DNO relationship.
AP (up to 20kV) Operational experience.
Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
