We are looking for Procurement Analyst who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for the in-house development, maintenance, and optimisation of applications supporting key supply chain and procurement activities, alongside leading the delivery of management reporting and performance insights against internal KPIs. 

The role combines technical support and development of applications for the Procurement and Supply Chain teams, and data analytics and reporting to enable effective decision-making and continuous performance improvement.

Your key responsibilities are

Lead the design, development, and enhancement of in-house applications supporting procurement and supply chain processes (e.g. sourcing, inventory, supplier performance, contract management).

Act as product owner for internally developed tools, prioritising features aligned to business needs
Collaborate with IT and developers to ensure scalable, secure, and user-friendly solutions.

Maintain application performance, manage upgrades, and resolve system issues.

Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce manual effort, and improve data capture.

Ensure systems are aligned to business processes across sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management.

Own the development and delivery of procurement and supply chain reporting suites.

Define, track, and report on KPIs (e.g. cost savings, supplier performance, compliance).

Build dashboards and visualisations to provide actionable insights to leadership.

Ensure reporting is accurate, timely, and aligned with business priorities.

Ensure integrity, consistency, and accessibility of procurement and supply chain data across applications
Define data standards, structures, and governance processes.

Work with stakeholders to improve data quality and reporting reliability.

Any other tasks as may be instructed by the Head of Procurement.

Experience/Knowledge

Experience in procurement, supply chain, or operations with strong exposure to systems and data.

Proven experience in application development oversight or product ownership (in-house or configured tools).

Understanding of procurement and supply chain KPIs and performance frameworks.

Abilities/Skills

Strong data analytics and reporting capability (e.g. Power BI, Excel, SQL).

Ability to translate technical solutions into business value.

Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Analytical mindset with focus on insight generation and continuous improvement.

Desirable

Degree or Post Graduate Qualification.

Experience working in utility infrastructure or similar sector.

Conditions of Employment

You will hold a driving licence.
