We are looking for Historic Debt Resolution Specialist who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

The Historic Debt Resolution Specialist is responsible for recovering long‑outstanding, disputed, or complex debt within BUUK’s construction function. This role will work behind the scenes of the credit control department to recover aged debt, working with internal stakeholders to understand and resolve debt disputes.

Your key responsibilities are

Investigate, prioritise, and recover aged or disputed debts.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal project managers, sales managers, designers, and credit controllers to understand and resolve issues behind non-payment.

Contribute to the strengthening of credit control and debt governance across the organisation.

Provide regular updates to senior leadership on recovery progress, risks, and opportunities.

Experience/Knowledge

Sound working knowledge of MS products.

Construction or Utilities sector experience.

Abilities/Skills

Persistent, organised, and able to manage a large portfolio of work.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Able to challenge constructively while preserving relationships.

Comfortable working independently and owning recovery outcomes.

Desirable

Understanding of construction-based contracts.
