GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Design Support Officer who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this role
To provide administrative support to the Design and Records department.
Your key responsibilities are
The Design Support Officer role is within the GTC Multi-Utility Design team.
Assist with general design queries (Network Variations, Network Connections).
Support the Design team with day-to-day activities as and when required.
Produce reports to management on progress of current projects.
Undertake reviews and amendments of current records and databases.
Create and receive purchase orders.
Undertake reviews of network drawings and design data to ensure the accuracy of company information.
Maintain a high level of productivity and quality.
Undertake specific projects as requested by the Head of Design & Records or Asset Design Manager.
Liaise with customers to request information required for the Design team.
Continuously review current process and procedures and amend when necessary to achieve best working practices.
Any other duties as required by the Team Leader or Asset Design Manager.
Qualifications
Educated to A Level or equivalent.
Experience/Knowledge
Able to demonstrate an understanding of customer’s needs and have experience in a customer focused role.
Previous experience in administration tasks in an office environment.
Abilities/Skills
Competent in all standard Microsoft Office applications.
Highly organised.
Able to manage workload and ensure deadlines are met.
Resilient.
Attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task.
Remains calm under pressure.
Excellent communication skills – verbal, written and numerate.
Good and consistent telephone manner.
Desirable
General knowledge of utility networks.
Knowledge of GIS.
