We are looking for Credit Control Manager who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.
Purpose of this role
To manage and motivate a team of Credit Controllers and Admin Assistants to maximise cash collection, minimise risk and exceed KPIs.
Your key responsibilities are
Maintain overall control of the Northern Region Debt Management function, responsible for a portfolio of regulated utility and housing development customers.
Maintain control of Regulated Debt Management.
Oversee the administration of Credit Control inbox and cash posting (completed by Administrator).
Manage a team of credit controllers and admin assistants to ensure invoices are raised correctly and chased for payment in a timely and structured manner.
Develop and mentor team to aid development.
Support, train and develop team members to enhance results.
Continuously review the systems and processes in all areas of Debt Management to improve efficiency and control.
Ensure strong relationships are maintained with customers and internal colleagues.
Ensure timely management and escalation of queries including the effective administration of individual queries across the team.
Manage debt write-offs.
Monitor the credit status of key customers.
Control the release of projects on business systems dependent upon payment status.
Manage ad-hoc and routine reporting driven by business requirements.
Maintain and review Sarbanes Oxley controls for all key debtor related activities.
Any other duties as required by the Group Treasurer.
Qualifications
A Level standard of qualification.
Experience/Knowledge
Significant credit management experience.
Abilities/Skills
Strong team management skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence in liaising with internal and external stakeholders at all levels within a business hierarchy.
Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes or equivalent.
Desirable
CICM Qualification.
Experience in team management.
Experience of using D365 finance systems.
