GTC, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Construction Manager who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

To project manage the GTC Scotland portfolio of works assigned to your construction business unit.

Your key responsibilities are

Responsible for the successful delivery of all GTC Scotland Projects for GSHP & Utility infrastructure works in line with the agreed programme of works provided to you by the Post Award Team in GTC.

Responsible for all Health and Safety matters relating to the Installation and working of all utility networks. Including all incident investigation and reporting, including closure of corrective actions.

Responsible for the projects assigned to you including financial reporting, management of costs and the performance of the teams undertaking the works.

Responsible for monitoring of productivity and cost management in line with the expected costs of the Projects which you are responsible for. 

Monitoring and reporting your site costs weekly for material spend / plant hire and subcontractor costs.

Ordering and management of material and plant expenditure.

Toolbox Talks with the teams you are responsible for.

Works completed maintain an up to date Bill Of Quantities for each project assigned to you.

Key Customer Relationships – Site Managers within the Developer Community.

Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the Key Customers assigned to your portfolio and be the main point of contact for Site Managers.

Co-ordination and form a solid working relationship with the construction business units to deliver the works on your behalf and attend regular meetings to make sure all parties are clear on the project deliverables and associated timescales.

Assist with existing asset and/or plant queries and any emergencies.

Dependant on core skills and qualifications, act as the officer in charge during a gas or electric supply emergency and participate in the standby rota.

Qualifications

One of the following: Civil Engineering Qualification, Authorising Engineer registration (gas), Senior Authorised Person (electric) or NCO3 (water) qualifications or experience in the Utility environment with experience in Multi Utility New Housing Works.

Full and valid driving licence.

Experience/Knowledge

Significant experience and a working knowledge of current Legislation, Technical Standards & Specifications, Codes of Practice and Recommendations relating to all Civil, Gas, Electric, Heat & Water Distribution Systems.

Abilities/Skills

Ensure that all relevant information is recorded accurately and submitted on time.

Comply with the latest company procedures, legislation, and industry skills on all aspects of day-to-day work.

Desirable

NRSWA supervisory card, relevant SHEA cards.

An aptitude for development, specifically ensuring they can Project Manage Civils, electric, water & fibre products, as well as gas, as part of the Senior Project Manager role

Conditions of Employment

You will be required to participate in a standby rota
