Power On, part of the BUUK Infrastructure Group, are looking for Assistant Cable Jointer (PO) who would like to help us reach our mission to “earn customer loyalty and drive business growth by providing consistently excellent service”.

Purpose of this role

To Install LV and HV distribution Electrical Infrastructure in accordance with Company Procedures. 

 

SSE Authorised HV/LV Cable Jointers.

 

To work in the North half of the SSE region.

Your key responsibilities are

To always work safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures wearing relevant company supplied PPE.

Assist in the installation and commission of multi-utility infrastructure as instructed, ensuring that all work is undertaken is compliant to the required standards of safety and technical quality, following all appropriate generic and specific method statements, work procedures and safety instructions.

Accept delivery of plant and materials and check fitness for purpose prior to use.

Ensure Vehicles, plant and equipment remain in good condition and report any defects to the Line Manager.

Assist with the completion of the site-specific risk assessments daily and ensure maintenance of a safe working environment.

Attend and actively participate in Tools book talks, team briefs and other training courses as required.

Record accurately details of work undertaken and submit relevant work details for recording and invoicing in the required timescale, ensuring compliance with correct procedures.

Any other duties as deemed appropriate by the line Manager/Regional Manager that fall within the general experience scope of the individual.

Qualifications

CSCS/ESUR card.

First Aid at work Training.

Experience/Knowledge

Experience working on development sites.

Manual Handling.

Knowledge of health and safety legislation.

Abilities/Skills

Excellent verbal communication skills.

Safety Focus, Customer Focus, Communication Focus, Results Focus.

Desirable

 NRSWA certificate.

City and Guilds Electrical qualification or equivalent experience or qualification.

Experience in conducting site specific risk assessments.

Ability to use Microsoft Office programmes or equivalent.

Conditions of Employment

You will hold a driving licence.
